We had a great lunch here! Sitting outside in the shade at midday was a relief from our longish walks around the West Bank. We just wanted a quick bite to eat before heading on to Hatshepsut's temple, but the offer of soup and a typical Egyptian lunch was too good to resist. Business is hard at the moment, but the owner showed real hospitality and shared a put of tea with us while we chatted. If you are walking or riding a bike down there, don't hesitate to stop in.

Enjoyed the stop here after the valley of the kings very nice. I am hoping to find out what stone this perfume sprayer is made out of as I forgot . The candle holder I know is made out of alabaster.

Thank you to the owner for running on his motorbike to get me some biscuits! and then having a nice friendly chat and a really good Turkish coffee. This is absolutely the right place to chill after visiting Deir al Bahri.
